Vietnam Association for Mountainous Economic Development Assistance (VAMEDA) as a non-governmental organization was legally allowed to be founded on May 28th, 2013 by the Government of Vietnam.
VAMEDA has operated on consultancy, investment, commercial promotion, international has also performed researches and directly managed and executed programs, projects on economic and cultural development, social security, humanitarian, charity, poverty eradication and enhancement of the material and spiritual living standards for disadvantaged people in the mountainous provinces in Vietnam.
VAMEDA is authorized to receive, manage and use grants, donations, borrowings or capitals authorized of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals under the regulations of the State of Vietnam or under requirements of authorizing organizations and individuals.
VAMEDA is the focal point for cooperation to exploit resources, material facilities for investment projects of economic development, culture, social security, charity in mountainous provinces of Vietnam such as:
- Investing on Projects on reforestation for greening of barren hills, creating ecosystem environment and natural water sources.
- Investing on Projects on food, medicinal plants and animal husbandry.
- Building infrastructures of inter-district, inter-commune routes.
- Building irrigation works used for agriculture, providing fresh water for living activities.
- Building hospitals, health clinics, schools, kindergartens, spiritual and cultural constructions.
- Building nursing centers for older, disabled people and orphans.
- Support projects for training mountainous labor force.
- Supporting enterprises to invest on their business production, trade promotion boosting production and commodity circulation in mountainous area.
- VAMEDA commit to use the capital resources for the right purposes, right addresses with the highest results.
The invested programs and projects have been performed under the standards of Vietnam and have been eveluated and approved by authorized state agencies. The demands for investment capital for these programs and projects are very large.
